Craftsmanship. Our upholstered pieces are constructed completely in the foothills of North Carolina. Local artisans build the wood frames and assemble all of the cushions in North Carolina. Chesterfield Sofa Exquisite leathers and beautiful fabrics are sewn and hand-fitted to each frame. Buttons, tufts, and stitching are then added by hand, ensuring the utmost attention and quality in the details of each craftsman-made piece.
We use only kiln dried hardwoods, certified to be grown in a sustainable manner. Each frame is designed by a qualified engineer who uses state of the art software to determine the appropriate materials and design elements to create a frame that will last a lifetime. The components are then precision cut on computer driven routers and assembled by experienced craftsmen using blocks in all corners, double doweled or mortise and tenoned joinery, metal fasteners and glue where needed.
Fill & Comfort
Our cushions and pillows are filled with state-of-the-art materials to provide our customers with the best possible combination of comfort and durability. Our seat cushions feature a high-density foam core sandwiched between layers of very dense, but uber-soft foam. All of that is topped with a channeled crown of soft, resilient fibers. Our back pillows are stuffed with an innovative fiber fill called “Silk0line”. This hypoallergenic down alternative is made from select ultra-fine microfibers and is treated with sustainably produced silk powder to limit clumping or matting. These are the best seat cushions and back pillows we have ever made.
Packaging & Shipping
We use a two-ply foam envelope to protect the surface from abrasion, and then encase the furniture in a heavy-duty plastic bag. Chesterfield Sofa We place hard protective foam along the edges to prevent scuffing. We then place the furniture in a heavy-gauge cardboard container. If there are feet that attach by screwing into the frame, they will be packaged separately and included in the shipment. These are to be installed onto your furniture by the delivery persons.
While many of our furniture styles will echo styles you may find at large corporate retailers like Restoration Hardware, the similarities end there. While RH has furniture companies from China, to the Mexican border areas, and even a few in North Carolina, all of our furniture is hand-crafted in our own plant here in NC.
Our contemporary seating furniture is better simply because we make it out of superior materials. Our frames are heavier using thicker 100% American Oak rather than thinner Russian Birch. Our pocketed coil system is the best, most comfortable and durable spring system. We offer a combination of ultracel and memory foam cushions for our seats. Our pillows are filled with a down replacement that offers the same comfort but more resiliency and durability. Cheaper production quality and costs put more money in the pockets of these retail giants at the expense of their customers who get lesser quality in their furniture.
