The fabrics meet the requirements of BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 (cigarette) Ignitions Source 1 (Match) as laid out in the furniture & furnishings regulations 1988. These fabrics satisfy the requirements of BS2543 in respect of woven knitted upholstery fabrics.
Pile Fabric Characteristics
It is characteristic of velvet and chenille fabrics that they are subject to seating or pressure marking. This is where shading can occur due to change of light reflection when the pile is naturally reversed during use.
